Making a belated debut...here goes.
I've had success in the Bumper over the years, by the 'simple' expedient of creating speed figures for all Irish Bumper races and backing the top rated. Sounds easy but it hit the jackpot with Missed That, Total Enjoyment and Florida Pearl, with Missed That backed ante-post at substantially greater than SP odds after his win at Naas in early Feb, which was ultra quick and I figured' he was 'the Mullins One' for 2005.
Ah yes - The Willie Mullins Effect.
Put simply, anything of his that turns up on the day will be overbet,and, thanks to his 5 winners in the race, this skew is more pronounced in the ante-post market, where anything of his that wins between November and February is crowbared into the market, generally at cramped odds......
