The service will cover primarily UK racing to begin with, combining expert analysis and up-to-date information with "off tube" commentaries from a separate studio in Leeds. There are regular reviews and previews of Betfair's non-racing markets and input from experts from horseracing publishers Timeform, plus lively discussion of the afternoon's racing among Betfair's own in-house team. The tone is intended to be informal but informative, and Betfair Radio can claim to be truly independent in that it will refer to opportunities across all betting platforms and not just its own. The service is aimed at customers who want a reasonably sized bet in what might appear an illiquid market, simply don't have the time to get their bets on or would prefer to bet with confidence in the knowledge that our expert brokers are giving them the best possible service available with more comprehensive market information. Just call us on 0800 056 2244, confirm your account details in the normal fashion and tell the broker what you want them to do for you. You will need to give us your selection, your stake (minimum £3,000 please) and your parameters i.e. what price you’re prepared to go down or up to, and any special contact instructions if necessary. If there are non-runners or significant market moves we will ring you back and confirm your new instructions. What we will do for you is drip-feed your orders into illiquid markets to ensure minimal market movement, and make sure we get you the best possible price by monitoring industry prices and on-course shows. Betfair MultiplesBetfair has introduced multiples betting, otherwise known as accumulator betting, a staple fare of the traditional bookmakers offering to customers. A multiple bet is when you combine different selections, in different markets, with your winnings from one selection rolling-on to each subsequent selection. You can find Multiples on the Betfair site via the Multiples tab on the left-hand side of the screen, or the fastlink on the Portal Homepage. On navigating to this Multiples homepage, customers will be offered a number of Multiples Groups. Multiples Groups will contain a number of Betfair- pre-selected markets that are available for multiple betting. For example, it might contain a number of high profile Premiership matches or Champions League games. Betfair's multiple product will allow customers to bet on multiples of between two and eight legs. A "leg" is the outcome of any single market and customers will be able to select more than one bet in each leg. The odds for each leg are determined by assessing the available odds of any runner in the equivalent singles market. The odds for any multiple are determined by multiplying the odds of each leg together. After selecting the legs of a multiple, customers will be shown a "guide price" as to the odds they will get. Due to volatile singles markets, these odds could change. A bet will therefore only be processed if the odds are 98 per cent or better than the "guide price". If worse than this, the customer will be prompted to see if he still wishes to place the bet or submit a new one. Not all markets available for singles betting will be available for multiples betting (i.e. range, line and Asian handicap). Coupons where they are available will be provided to make multiple betting faster and easier. Betfair will offer the full range of accumulator betting opportunities that traditional bookmakers offer: Trixies, Yankees, Heinzes etc. Once selecting bets in each leg, customers will be asked how much they want to stake on the requisite doubles, trebles, four-folds etc. Multiples betting is currently unavailable to both API and Telbet customers. The most significant enhancement to what traditional bookmakers offer is the ability to lay selections in a leg and bet on more than one selection in a leg. Although of course, customers can only back or lay in any individual leg. Soccer has provided the main focus of the product so far and will continue to do so, but we are planning to cover additional sports throughout the year when interest and liquidity allow. Currently on the horizon are Tennis - French Open and Masters Series, Golf - The Masters, Snooker - World Championships, and the Cricket World Cup - but keep an eye on the Multiples homepage as all new events will be advertised prior to launch.
