This month’s post comes from the Golf forum and was started by Souci, there’s plenty of reasons why we like this thread - not least that it generated some excited lunchtime chat!

But it also shows how people use the forum to share punting ideas and opinions - drawing people’s attention to an insightful article elsewhere on another website.

If you haven't already seen the article in yesterday's Sunday Times, you really should make an effort to get your hands on it. It is a fascinating article on the psychology of the game and the breakdown of a player (Norman) under pressure in the final round. Norman lost a 6 shot lead on Day 4 in Augusta and Faldo held his nerve to take the Green Jacket 5 shots ahead of Norman by the end of the day. It really just goes to show how much really needs to be taken into account in this business (golf betting) and how regardless of stats and study, there is a whole lot more to it then meets the eye.

Enjoy.
