Betfair Payments - Announcing Paypal
We’re pleased to announce that customers based in the UK and European Union can now deposit funds directly into their Betfair account using Paypal – the global leader in online payments.
Better still, because Paypal now works hand-in-hand with the Betfair site, it means your transactions will be carried out in real time.
What’s more, we’re offering a FREE £5 to every customer when they make their first deposit (minimum of £5) via Paypal to fund their Betfair account. This offer closes on Saturday 15th April 2006, so hurry, and you’ll have £5 to use on The Grand National! Full terms and conditions available on request.
API Solutions - Free Access
Betfair Developers Program is pleased to announce the launch of a new product available to all Betfair users - the Free Access API.
The Free Access API is available free of charge to all Betfair members who have funded their account and it provides limited and unsupported access to a subset of the Betfair API services. This is a great opportunity for Betfair members who want to develop their own API applications and trial API access with no fees attached.
This is an unsupported product, meaning that there will be no direct developer support from the BDP support team. You will however have access to documentation and sample code, as well as access to the Developers forum once registered.

Coming Soon “Winning on Betfair for Dummies”
Winning on Betfair for Dummies will hit bookstores near you at the end of March – just in time for the Grand National.
It’s part of the famous Dummies series written by our resident betting guru, Jack Houghton (his words, not ours).
For Dummies reference books are sculptured especially for those frustrated and hard-working souls who know they're
not dumb, but find the technical complexities of certain subjects make them feel helpless. For Dummies books use a
lighthearted, down-to-earth style approach, integrating cartoons and humorous icons to dispel fears and inspire confidence.
Jack says, “Betfair can be a bit overwhelming for the uninitiated. I hope the book helps those people get to grips with
why Betfair is the greatest product in the world. I wrote it for my Mum. Not in a “I dedicate this to my Mum” kind of way.
I mean I wrote it for my Mum. Hopefully, once she gets her (signed) copy she’ll stop calling with questions about unmatched bets,
arbing and whether she’s got what it takes to be a pro-punter. That’s the plan anyway.”
Publication is due for 24th March, but you can pre-order your copy now.
