Since leading the Lions in New Zealand Sir Clive Woodward has become Technical Director at Southampton Football Club!
This year UEFA will have to forge a new Champions League Trophy. That’s because Liverpool get to permanently keep last years Trophy by virtue of having won the tournament on five separate occasions (only Real Madrid and AC Milan have also done this). The only other teams to have permanently kept a European Cup trophy are Ajax and Bayern Munich who both won the tournament three times in a row in the 1970’s

Last month 45% of you named Carl Lewis as the greatest post war Athlete, with fellow sprinter American Michael Johnson coming second for a change with 35% of votes.
In Augusts’ other poll we asked which was the most important Football competition to win, unsurprisingly The Champions League was the most popular pick with 57% of the poll, next came the Premiership (25%) with amazingly the FA Cup coming last with only 7% of the vote!
