We’ve had our thinking caps on and come up with two more teasing questions for this months polls:

Did you know?

In 1954 a 25 year old medical student called Roger Bannister become the first man to run the mile in under 4 minutes, he was clocked at 3 mins 59.4 secs. The current world record over a mile is held by Moroccan Hicham El Guerrouj who achieved the feet in a time of 3 mins 43.13 sec (Rome 7th July 1999).

Since it’s inception in 1992/3 season only four teams have won the England Premier League / Premiership; Manchester United (92/93, 93/94, 95/96, 96/97, 98/99, 99/00, 00/01, 02/03), Blackburn (94/95), Arsenal (97/98, 01/02, 03/04) and Chelsea (04/05)

Last month Betfair punters voted Cheltenham (41%) as the sporting venue with the best atmosphere, honorable mentions also go to Wembley (16%) and Croke Park (15%) who came second and third respectively.

In our other July question over half who voted (54%) named the 1970 Brazilian Football Team as the greatest post war team ever. The brilliant Australian cricket team circa 2000 trailed a distant second with 19% of the overall vote.
