December
|
After one month’s punting it’s fair to say that the Sharp Minds in the Betfair community have been picking off our celebrities tips, and making a little profit at the expense of charity – shame on you!
Tony Cascarino leads the way having backed the Irish Rugby Union team to beat the Tri Nations Champs South Africa, the £50 @ 2.64 sees his balance stand at a respectable £132.00.
Not far behind Tony is Angus Loughran, who correctly tipped Spurs to dispense with Burnley in the Carling Cup. The £50 he placed @ 1.93 was never in any doubt as the North London side cruised to a 3-0 win. Angus' balance currently stands at £96.50
Unluckiest tipster this month has to be Laura Davies. First she backed Andy Fordham in the Darts Showdown – Fordham of course retired due to heat exposure when throwing well. She also backed the Spanish team to win Golf’s World Cup, who were squeaked out by a single stroke by the victorious England team in the final. Laura’s balance is therefore £0.
Anyway, the celebs have recharged and have selected their three ‘naps’ for December which are…
Angus Loughran
Angus is a familiar face to many sports enthusiasts and is a regular on BBC horse racing. Football fans too will undoubtedly recognise Angus from cult TV show Fantasy Football League. Angus also writes a weekly betting feature in the Daily Telegraph.

Laura Davies
Winner of three majors on the LPGA Tour (1994 and 1996 LPGA Championship and the 1987 US Women’s Open). Laura’s distinguished career has seen her win over $6 million in prize money to date.
|
Tony Cascarino
Tony represented the Republic of Ireland Football team on 88 occasions. After a distinguished club career which included spells at Chelsea, Celtic and Aston Villa, Tony retired and has now become a well known tipster for the Racing Post, and regular at the poker tables.
